While updates for the Reverse and Vintage algorithms promise particularly intense and authentic sound experiences, two options for the distribution of the echoes in the stereo panorama offer the possibility to significantly change the sound character. Five algorithms

At the heart of the Mako D1 V2 Delay pedal are five characterful effect algorithms that can be used to realize flexible sound ideas ranging from straightforward slap-back to atmospheric ambient sound. The "Digital" mode stands for the absolutely clean sound of a high-quality digital delay, while "Mod" brings the echoes to life with an expressive pitch modulation. The "Tape" mode, on the other hand, promises the authentic vintage tones of a tape echo machine. For rhythmic variations of the echoes, there is also the "Dual" mode, which lets the echoes run through two parallel delay lines. Last but not least, the "Reverse" mode lets the echoes sound backwards and thus creates the basis for particularly creative sounds. 

Tweak, Tap Tempo, Attack and Presets

In addition to the usual delay and repeat controls for the Delay-Zeit and the number of repetitions, the Mako D1 V2 offers a practical tap-tempo function for typing in the Delay-Zeit with the foot. Here, three different rhythms for the repeats can be selected via the Subdivision switch. naturally, the Tweak function is on board, which edits three parameters for fine-tuning the sound depending on the selected algorithm. Friends of floating ambient sounds can also use the Attack control to gently fade in the echoes. Once found, sounds can be saved to one of nine memory locations. 

Two stereo options

In stereo mode, Walrus Audio's Mako D1 V2 Delay pedal has two options for distributing the echoes in the panorama. The Panning mode lets the echoes slowly switch back and forth between the right and left channels, creating particularly atmospheric and moving sounds. The Haas Effect, on the other hand, widens the panorama of the stereo channels by a slight offset between them and creates a particularly wide effect.
