Detailed replica of the semi-acoustic Telecaster from 1972.

With the Fender American Vintage II 1972 Telecaster Thinline MN Lake Placid Blue, Fender presents a faithful replica of arguably the most famous iteration of the popular semi-acoustic Telecaster. Based on the design conceived by legendary German luthier Roger Rossmeisl, the electric guitar features authentic Seventies specifications in the form of a resonant chambered ash body and a triple-bolted "micro-tilt" maple neck. Two Fender CuNiFe wide-range humbuckers with correct magnet material also provide absolutely authentic vintage sounds, ideally suited for the classic styles of Blues and rock with the ideal combination of fullness and brilliance. Of course, a historically accurate hardware setup with 6-saddle hardtail and Pure Vintage "F" Stamped tuners completes the American Vintage II 1972 Telecaster Thinline MN Lake Placid Blue guitar by Fender.

Authentic Thinline Construction

The construction of the American Vintage II '72 Thinline Tele naturally follows the design developed by Roger Rossmeisl, which combines the traditional Tele feel with a lively sound and comfortable handling. The ash body not only convinces with a pleasant weight thanks to the generous resonance chambers, but also colors the sound with a pleasantly airy acoustic timbre. The seventies-style maple neck, fastened with three screws and the "Micro-Tilt" mechanism, offers comfortable playing characteristics up to the highest registers of the 21-fret maple fingerboard with its "1972 C" profile and 7.25" (184 mm) fingerboard radius.

Wide-Range Pickups with CuNiFe Magnets

As pickups for the American Vintage II 1972 Telecaster Thinline Fender chooses two Authentic CuNiFe Wide-Ranger Humbuckers. With pole-pieces made of the correct copper-nickel-iron magnet material and a high number of windings on the coils, the pickups combine an enormous sonority with the brilliance and clarity typical of Fender, so that top-class vintage sounds between soulful cleans and creamy Overdrive are available at the guitar amplifier. A classic passive electrics with 3-way pickup switch and general volume and tone pots also grants full control over the sound of the electric guitar.

Reliable attachments

Of course, reliable attachments in the historically correct Vintage-Style complete the Fender American Vintage II 1972 Telecaster Thinline MN Lake Placid Blue from Fender. A Pure Vintage 6-saddle strings-through-body hardtail is used as the bridge. While the bridge with the string guide through the body supports the lively sound character of the guitar, six independently adjustable tailpieces made of bent sheet steel guarantee exact intonation and comfortable string position. At the headstock, Pure Vintage "F" Stamped tuners also promise precise tuning with almost unshakable stability.
