Jaguar electric guitar from the Fender Custom Shop, including case and certificate
A special one-off for fans of the iconic surf-rock classic, the Fender Custom Shop presents the Fender Limited Edition '63 Jaguar Journeyman Relic Aged Blue Ice Metallic. Featuring historically accurate early Sixties appointments, the agile Offset-Design relies on traditional dual-circuit electronics and faithful vintage-style hardware appointments to get as close to the sound, look and feel of the '63 Jaguar as possible. In addition, the Custom Shop Division of Corona, California includes a deluxe hardshell case and Custom Shop strap with the instrument, while the additional signed certificate attests to the instrument's authenticity.
Alder Offset Body & Rift Sawn Maple Neck
With two pieces of selected alder for the body and a quadruple-bolted neck made of Rift Sawn Maple, the Fender Custom Shop goes back to the classic tonewood combination for the '63 Jaguar, whose resonance characteristics already shaped the sound of its predecessors Tele and Strat. From a haptic point of view, the slim Jaguar C profile in the style of 1962 and the shortened scale length of 610 mm promise the incomparably agile feel of the Jaguar for carefree playing in the register and smooth bends on the 22-fret Round-Lam fretboard made of high-quality rosewood.
Custom Shop Jaguar Single Coils with Dual Circuit Electronics
Under the hood, the Fender Limited Edition '63 Jaguar Journeyman Relic Aged Blue Ice Metallic stays true to its classic design and features the traditional electronics layout, which is divided into two circuits with separate controls for Volume and Tone. Thus, the two Custom Shop wound Jaguar Single Coils in the Rhythm Circuitcan be operated via the upper thumbwheels as volume and treble fade controls, while the Lead Circuitprovides separate On/Off switches for each pickup and the famous 'Strangle' switch as an additional switchable high-pass filter.
Vintage style hardware in early sixties design.
Of course, a successful recreation of the genuine Sixties Jaguar can't be without the characterful combination of vintage-style bridge and floating tremolo . The evolution of the classic synchronized Strat tremolo features a trem adjustment screw to determine the spring tension and a separate TOM-style bridge that allows for precise intonation adjustments for each string. Completing the Fender Limited Edition '63 Jaguar Journeyman Relic Aged Blue Ice Metallic are historically accurate vintage-style tuners and a faux-aged Closet Classic Aged Blue Ice Metallic nitrocellulose finish.
