FENDER Vintera '60s Jaguar Modified HH PF Surf Green
Electric guitar in offset design with Atomic humbucker pickups and modified wiring, including gig bag
The Fender Vintera '60s Jaguar Modified HH PF Surf Green combines the retro style of the Fender top model from 1962 with two powerful pickups and modernized playing characteristics to the ideal electric guitar for indie and alternative rock. Based on a buttery-soft 24" scale length, the electric guitar features an offset alder body and a bolt-on maple neck with pau ferro fingerboard. Here, the slim "Modern C" neck profile, 9.5" fingerboard radius and medium-jumbo fretting provide extremely comfortable playing conditions. With two powerful Fender Atomic humbucker pickups, the electric guitar furthermore delivers punchy overdrive and lead sounds, with the killswitch and additional coil Blend controls providing especially versatile tones between humbucker and single coil. Last but not least, the Fender Vintera '60s Jaguar features an Adjusto-Matic bridge and the tried and tested smooth-action Fender Vintage "Floating" tremolo.
With two powerful Atomic humbuckers and the adept circuitry, the Fender Vintera '60s Jaguar Modified delivers particularly versatile guitar tones.

I've never encountered a guitar like this. It is a 'modified' guitar. So it has the ability for two humbuckers to get a full rock sound with distortion. But you can also make the humbuckers act as single coils and get a more jaguar vintage clean sound.
The atomic humbuckers have high output so I actually have to roll off the volume a bit to not create a buzzing sound. It takes a while to get to know this guitar as it has plenty of tonal variations.
All in all I am happy with my purchase with the exception of a cosmetic issue on the back of the guitar. It appears to be some white paint stain that doesn't belong there. I can live with it but still one would expect better from Fender.
Pau Ferro fretboard takes a long time to get used to. Does it affect the sound? I'm not sure. Wish they would have designed it with rosewood at this price point.
