The top, back and sides of the Gibson ES-335 Studio Wine Red are made of a 3-layer maple laminate which, in combination with the solid centre block, provides the typical semi-hollow sound. Accordingly, the semi-acoustic provides a warm basic sound with a woody resonance, but is not prone to unwanted feedback. The one-piece neck with "Traditional C" profile conveys a classic, comfortable playing feeling.
