The classic mahogany body has comfortable contours, while the mahogany neck with "Slim C" profile and contoured neck foot can be played unhindered in all positions. In addition, Gibson 496R and 498T humbuckers provide modern sounds on the amplifier.

The Gibson Modern Les Paul Axcess Custom convinces with first-class playing comfort that puts the classic Singlecut design into one dimension. The mahogany body not only has a slimmer frame width, but also, thanks to the "Comfort-Carve Belly Scarf" on the back, nestles against the player. The weight relief also makes this Les Paul surprisingly light, so that nothing stands in the way of long gigs. The fast "Slim C" profile and the fluently designed "Contoured Axcess Heel" at the base of the neck ensure unimpeded playability in all positions of the Richlite fingerboard. A special feature is the reinforced "Apex" headstock with a particularly stable transition between neck and headstock.
The Gibson 496R and 498T humbuckers can be split into the tone potis via pull switches, while the Floyd Rose Tremolo invites you to extensive Whammy Bar actions.

A Gibson 498T humbucker, a hot Alnico V aggregate that delivers a fat, center-stressed sound for burning rock riffs and hot solo licks, sits at the bridge. The ceramic magnet-equipped Gibson 496R humbucker on the neck delivers a warm, yet assertive and defined sound with endless sustain. Push/pull switches in the tone controls allow both pickups to be split over them, so that authentic single coil sounds are also part of the Gibson Les Paul Modern Custom Axcess repertoire.
The "Apex" head plate has a reinforcement at the transition to the neck. Grover Rotomatic tuners guarantee a precise and stable tuning.
Traditional hardware equipment in gold
The Gibson Modern Les Paul Custom Axcess Ebony, on the other hand, traditionally shows itself in the hardware equipment. The body features the combination of a Gibson ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and the classic Stopbar tailpiece, established by Ted McCarty in the 1950s, which guarantees perfect intonation of all strings and a flat, smooth-running string position. From here, the strings are guided with the traditional 24.75" scale (628 mm) towards the headstock, where Grove tuners behind a Corian saddle ensure precise and stable tuning.
