A true instrument for classic rock sounds, the Gibson SG Naked 2016 Limited presents the powerful sound of two P-90 soapbar pickups and a classic natural finish of the seventies. This SG offers a 22-flush rosewood fingerboard with an extremely narrow saddle width, on which even more demanding lead techniques such as string skippings and fast lines can be played without problems. As hardware equipment the SG Naked uses the traditional and easy to adjust Tune-o-Matic bridge in combination with a stop bar for a powerful and direct response, while six Grover tuners with Kidney grand pianos hold the tuning reliably.
The SG Naked uses two P-90 pickups in the traditional soapbar housing. The predecessor of the PAF Humbucker consists of a single coil construction whose winding is much wider than that of conventional single coils, providing wide and full humbucker-style sounds without denying the clear snap of the single coil. Both pickups are controlled by the proven SG electronics with 3-way toggle and individual volume and tone controls.
The Gibson SG Naked's add-on parts correspond to the hardware setup of traditional Gibson solidbody instruments in the form of a Tune-o-Matic bridge, whose six individual string tabs allow individual settings for each string. The SG Naked receives additional resonance thanks to the firmly screwed bolts in the body, while the six Grover tuners on the headstock stand for proven tuning stability and long-term reliability.
