The Godin 5th Avenue Kingpin II HB at a glance
The Godin 5th Avenue Kingpin II HB Cognac Burst follows in the footsteps of the legendary hollow-body archtop electric guitars of jazz and offers an incredibly flexible basis for articulative sounds from delta Blues to rock. Equipped with two Godin Custom humbucker pickups, the 5th Avenue delivers powerful vintage sounds of the late fifties with a distinctive acoustic timbre that only an archtop construction can deliver. Last but not least, the hardware equipment from GraphTech ensures long-lasting playing pleasure and the right setup in all registers.
Equipped with two custom humbucker pickups, the Godin 5th Avenue Kingpin II is able to cover a wide sound spectrum.
Canadian wild cherry
Acoustically, a resonance body made from the wood of Canadian cherry trees provides singing mids and a full, dynamic tone, which is particularly effective when playing chords in the middle registers. Thanks to the archtop and arched back, the 5th Avenue also delivers a voluminous tone with natural sustain when unplugged.
Two Godin Custom humbuckers
With the two Godin Custom humbuckers , the 5th Avenue Kingpin II HB offers a wide sound spectrum from smooth jazz licks to steamy rock sounds. The characteristic double coilers impress with their distinctive, warm, mid-range sound with clearly resolving trebles at the bridge, while the neck pickup produces a vocal note for melody voices and solos both Clean and crunched.
