The Hagstrom Viking Deluxe 12-String Electric Guitar Wild Cherry Transparent is a 12-string electric guitar featuring a semi-hollow maple body and neck, a resinator fretboard, two Hagstrom H-50 pickups and a wild cherry transparent finish. The hardness of maple enhances tonal brilliance, and thus delivers a brilliant voice for this guitar.
The unique H-Expander truss rod and Resinator fretboard is included on this guitar, which enhances acoustics by emphasising the octave strings, balancing them with the naturally fuller standard strings, resulting in a choral-like acoustic platform. The H-50 humbucking pickups, designed and voiced specifically for this 12-string model, produce vintage-sounding clean tones. This Hagstrom guitar has 18:1 gear ratio machine heads.

Out of the box, the first run down the neck scratched my fingers from the rough frets. There were some finish issues too. Blemishes in the paint.
My biggest complaint is the bridge post sleeves are lifting out of the wood. On the low E side, the sleeve is almost two to three mm out of the wood. The inner side (toward the A string is flush with the surface, so no way to 'tap' the sleeve in. The high E string is similar, but not as high out of the wood.
The sound is incredible. Very balanced (after set-up) with the right amount of 'jingle' without sounding harsh or tinny. Playability is great. I love this thing, but those issues I can not accept for a 1000 Euro guitar. I'm returning it sadly.
