The Hanika New Century DTL at a glance
Thanks to its innovative construction, the Hanika New Century DTL offers the player excellent handling and superior playability in all 20 frets. At the same time, the classical guitar inspires with its powerful and balanced sound, which captivates with its pleasant warmth. In addition to the sophisticated DTL bracing, the instrument is equipped with an elevated fingerboard and armrest, so that the guitar can be optimally gripped in all pitches and fits comfortably to the body. The neck, made of thermo-treated wood, comes with a C-1 neck profile so that all 6 nylon strings can be pressed down effortlessly. Since the fretboard is higher from the neck/body junction than on standard classical guitars, the high frets can be reached in an extremely accommodating manner. Furthermore, the perfectly tuned Hardware ensures clean intonation over the entire 650 mm scale length. The gold-plated classical tuners ensure precise tuning of the strings and lend the outer appearance an additional noble touch. This is rounded off by the gauzy matte finish, which allows the observer to take a deep look at the even grain of the tonewoods. The scope of delivery includes a sturdy Hiscox case with Hanika logo.

Structure and woods
In order for the guitar to produce a warm and powerful sound, the top is made of cedar. Its flat bracing is arranged in a diamond shape, which allows the use of extra thin tonewoods. As a result, each note is unfolded with ease and has a long-lasting decay. Rosewood back and sides add a powerful note to the character in the bass frequencies, creating a pleasantly wide soundstage. The neck made of thermo maple is equipped with a grenadilla fingerboard, while the bridge is made of service tree.

Hardware and design
The saddle and the 52 mm wide nut are crafted from the finest bone and guarantee excellent sound development along the entire string length. In addition, the strings can be easily tuned with the help of the gold-plated Rubner R2 tuners. These are set into the artistically openwork headstock, the front of which is made of the finest Madagascar rosewood. The extensive Z3 Madagascar soundhole rosette is also matched to this, giving the instrument a very individual appearance. The individual components of the body are separated by fine rosewood bindings.
