The Instrument exciting crackle finish features a continuous maple neck in Speed Neck profile for advanced playing techniques and a 24-flush fretboard Indian Laurel , whose compound radius rises from 12" in the low frets to 16" in the high registers of the fretboard. Two Duncan Designed HB-103s Humbucker equipped with ceramic magnets deliver juicy metal sounds with high output and the extra portion of crunch, while the Floyd Rose licensed pitch Double Locking Tremolo modulation allows for both directions.

This thing plays like a dream. The last new Jackson I got was when I was 21 and it was the smoothest, tastiest thing I'd ever played. This beat it, hands down. My only problem was a creaking but when using the whammy bar, but apparently that's quite a common and fixable problem and maybe a new pickup or two wouldn't hurt, but seriously, I love this thing to bits. Haven't regretted buying it for an instant \m/
