KRK's KRK 10 s 2 powered subwoofer is the perfect complement to KRK ROKIT, VXT, or any other 4"-8" studio monitor. The KRK10s2 is designed to extend the low-frequency performance of an existing monitor system so that the low-frequency portion of the mix can be properly engineered. The KRK10s2 also feature a great looking cabinet that echoes the curved edges of the ROKIT and VXT monitors. The front-firing bass port and KRK's trademark yellow glass-aramid composite woofer ensure accurate and powerful low-end punch. A sturdy grill protects the woofer and adds to the sleek appearance of the unit. A high-power amplifier and active crossovers provide smooth and accurate reproduction.

I have been toying with expanding my current KRK 6 monitors to include a sub for some time and early experimentation has convinced me that I have made the right decision. It has loads of power (if you want it) but being able to isolate the bottom end so clearly via a more than adequate crossover has made the whole system sound so much better. The facility to by-pass the sub via a pedal is also useful, especially as all the controls for all the KRK monitors are at the back and in my small work-space a bit difficult to get to. I suspect there are better monitors out there, but the KRK series are excellent. They do the job really well and for the money will not disappoint.
