With the Sigma GMC-15E Aged the manufacturer Sigma enriches its 15-series with a Grand-OM-14-Fret-Western guitar with a distressed finish, which convinces besides its extraordinary appearance with a warm and mid-rich sound. Moreover, thanks to a flat neck profile, the instrument is easy and decidedly obliging to finger in all 20 frets. A matte finish underlines the charm of the instrument and emphasizes the detailed finish. The GMC-15E Aged is rounded off with a Fishman Presys II pickup system, which is equipped with an integrated tuner in the shell cockpit and allows the acoustic sound to be perfectly accentuated.
The fine-grained solid mahogany top and laminated mahogany body guarantee a very fast sound development and colour the tone with rich and warm midrange frequencies, making the instrument ideal for defined pickings and vocal accompaniment. The flat mahogany neck is also perfectly adapted to the player's needs and can be played cleanly and comfortably on the entire pau ferro fingerboard.
Thanks to a finely notched, 44.5 mm wide bone nut and a corresponding compensated bridge inlay, all 6 steel strings intonate cleanly over the entire scale length of 645 mm so that a capo can also be used without any problems. The simple headstock is equipped with open nickel tuners with cream-coloured butterbean buttons, which give the overall look a traditional touch and guarantee precise tuning.
