New features
Steinberg is now entering its 12th round with Nuendo and once again delivers many useful audio tools that make your work in post-production - be it film, TV, broadcast, game audio or immersive sound - easier. In the latest Nuendo 12 software version, even more emphasis is placed on editing dialogs to make them clearer and more distinct. You'll also get innovative tools for recording and editing audio, working more efficiently in terms of sound design and general post-production studio work, and mixing over headphones. Find out what you can expect in detail in the following section!
If you do a lot of dialog editing, you'll be happy to hear about the AI-powered dialog detection algorithms. Here, silent areas are removed from a recording so that only the dialog remains and is thus ready for direct editing.
The advanced audio alignment features also allow the insertion of numerous reference clips whose precise timing can be applied to a corresponding Set of files from Filedrecorders.
Another interesting feature is the Free Warp tool, which allows subtle time corrections within individual clips directly from the project window.
Netflix enjoys immense popularity around the world, with new movies and series constantly creating projects for a wide range of mixing engineers, sound designers and more. Because of this huge influence, TTAL Import and Export is now available to support work on dubbing projects for Netflix.
Headphone users also benefit from the Headphones Match plug-in, which compensates and/or emulates the frequency response curve of 387 different headphone models from well-known manufacturers. Equally handy, the Dolby Atmos renderer delivers extremely high spatial accuracy with its Binaural Downmix for immersive sound mixing on headphones.
EdiCue v4 is now supported, helping you load reel text from PDF scripts and store cue data in Nuendo's cycle markers.
With the new MIDI remote system and API, MIDI devices can be quickly recognized and controllers mapped. This not only saves time, but also allows for straightforward testing of different working devices.
And for all sound designers, tools like Raiser (limiter with ultra-fast attack times) and the FX Modulator with various effect modules and an envelope editor for timing-based modulations are added.
Steinberg is constantly improving its tools and features to ensure a smooth workflow. Also in
