The TC Electronic Plethora X3 packs the Danish effects pedal specialists' most popular creations into a smart and intuitive multi-effects pedal. Three independent sections allow the simultaneous use of three different effects, and an enormous variety of different effect combinations with the particularly space-saving housing design of the Plethora to combine. The internal effect chain is completely customizable and provides numerous other options for adjusting individual effect parameters and saving your own sound creations for later use.

Classic effects from TC Electronic

The internal memory of the Plethora X3 holds numerous classics from the TC Electronic portfolio. For example, modulation classics like the Helix Phaser, Vortex Flanger or the Corona Chorus can be recalled at any time, while the famous Hall or Fame 2 Reverb and Flashback 2 Delay provide three-dimensional room sounds. All effects can be combined with each other via the three effect slots and each have three adjustable parameters that can be controlled via the three knobs above the Display.

127 Custom boards and 75 TonePrints

In order to be able to use self-created effect chains also later, the TC Electronic Plethora X3 provides a lot of memory space for Custom boards. Here, up to 127 individually created configurations can be stored and recalled in no time. furthermore, the pedal also offers the possibility to store individual effect settings on one of the numerous TonePrint slots. Up to 75 different TonePrints can be stored per effect, so there are no limits to creativity.

Expressive play thanks to MASH switches

In order to be able to change individual effect parameters not only in editing but also Live and on-the-fly, each set effect has its own MASH footswitch. This innovative feature is located in the footswitch of the respective effect section and acts like an expression pedal that allows you to change a parameter by foot depending on the switch pressure. Extensive mapping options are available to precisely determine the parameter to be controlled and the response of the MASH switch.

Practical connection options

Thanks to its useful connections, the TC Electronic Plethora X3 can be used in a variety of different environments without any problems. To fully enjoy spatial effects such as reverbs, echoes or Delay, the inputs and outputs of the Plethora X3 are designed in stereo and have an integrated cabinet simulation, which also ensures first-class sounds on PA systems and audio interfaces. In addition, two 5-pin MIDI connectors are available to include the pedal in MIDI controls and, for example, make individual presets selectable via external controllers.

Deep-level editing via TonePrint App

If the three knobs per effect are not enough, TC Electronic provides an extensive editor with the TonePrint App, which expands the control options of the individual effects immensely. Thanks to the Bluetooth interface, the Plethora X3 can be connected to any common smartphone, and TonePrints and other useful options can be edited at any time at deep level and adapted to any sound request.
