The Mako Series MKII at a glance:
The Walrus Audio Mako ACS1 MKII Amp + Cab Simulator at a glance:
With the Walrus Audio ACS1 MK II, Walrus Audio is sending a revised version of the popular Mako ACS1 into the race, which not only offers a faithful reproduction of legendary amps, but also allows flexible operation thanks to the user-friendly OLED screen, allowing all parameters to be adjusted quickly and intuitively. The pedal offers six amp models inspired by legendary amps from music history: With three vintage types, Fullerton, London and Dartford, high-quality models of the Fender Deluxe Reverb, the 1962 Marshall Bluesbreaker and the iconic Vox AC30 have been integrated. Those who want to go beyond the crystal-clear clean sounds with the option of saturated drive warmth will find three further high-gain models: Red emulates the metal classic Peavy 5150, Citrus delivers a warm Orange Rockverb sound and Tread enables the rough Dual Rectifier from Mesa Boogie. With twelve high-quality IRs from Tone Factor and York Audio, the ACS1 MK II can capture every sonic nuance from warm vintage cleans to powerful blues, rock and metal sounds. Another highlight of the ACS1 MKII is the ability to use two different amplifiers with separate cabinet simulations simultaneously, which can be particularly attractive for stereo setups. Furthermore, the USB-C port allows you to load your own IRs and firmware updates, keeping this pedal customizable for the long term.
Maximum control and precise sound shaping
In addition to the outstanding amp and cab simulation, the ACS1 MK II offers numerous sound shaping options. The integrated 3-band EQ for bass, mid and treble allows precise sound shaping for any setup, while the noise gate function eliminates noise during artistic breaks. For additional clarity, the Presence/Resonance parameter can be used to fine-tune the sound. The three integrated reverb modes also ensure authentic spatial depth, while the boost switch with adjustable volume can boost the signal in a targeted manner - ideal for solos or powerful rhythm passages. The ACS1 MK II also offers three freely configurable presets that can be recalled directly, as well as the option of storing and recalling up to 128 presets via MIDI. With MIDI In and MIDI Thru connections, the pedal can be seamlessly integrated into existing setups. The headphone output also allows silent practice sessions without compromising on sound. The option to deactivate amplifier models or IRs individually and use the pedal in different rig configurations offers particular flexibility.
