Original-era Alder Body
With original dimensions, the body of the Fender American Original 60s Telecaster is made of American alder and conjures up the proven Slab Body Feeling of the early Teles. In addition, the body and neck are finished with a thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish. This not only produces the well-known smooth handling, but also allows the enclosed wood to breathe with resonant sound.
Pure Vintage '64 Gray Bottom Single Coils
Fenders Pure Vintage '64 Gray Bottom Single Coils used in the American Original series are the result of the meticulous search for historically correct production steps of the early sixties. From fabric-coated connecting cables and traditional enamelled winding wire to the use of Alnico 5 magnets, the pickups produce the famous Fender Trebles with balanced output, thanks to stepped pole pieces.
