The G&L CLF Research L-1000 electric bass celebrates the best features of the Vintage G&L "Wunkay" Basses and is thus not only equipped with the deep Deep-C neck profile and original headstock but also delivers the powerful punch of a G&L MLF humbucker, which offers high tonal flexibility through three different switching options. Furthermore, the 6-ply maple neck in harmony with the overlying rosewood fingerboard over 21 frets offers the usual pleasant and robust conditions.
The modern G&L elements combined with the vintage Leo Fender design make the CLF Research L-1000 CR Matcha Green Tea the ideal hybrid of classic feel and high end features.
The flexible sound conversion of the G&L CLF Research can be easily accessed via the Control Panel.
Leo Fender Designed MFD Humbucker
A Magnetic Field Design Humbucker (MFD) in middle position delivers a sweeping tone that offers further flexibility with three different circuits. With a 3-way mini switch, different tones can be accessed via the dual coiler, and thus a classic parallel mode, a transparent coil splitand also an aggressive OMG mode sound is possible.
A six-bolt maple neck provides extra stability.
Structure and features
For a comfortable playing feel, the maple neck is C-profile in the hand. The rosewood fretboard is in the traditional 9.5-inch radius and features Dot-Inlays. The G&L CLF Research L-1000 E-Bass is also equipped with high-quality G&L hardware. Among other things, a Saddle-Lock Bridge which convinces thanks to lockabletailpieces with stable Sustain and precise adjustment options. At the headstock G&L UltraLite tuning mechanisms provide easy tuning of the four strings.
