Authentic reissue of the '57 Goldtop Les Paul
With the Gibson 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue VOS Double Gold, the Gibson Custom Shop presents an authentic reissue of the electric guitar that paved the way for the legendary "'Bursts" of the late 1950s. Accordingly, the electric guitar has a mahogany body with a maple top and a set mahogany neck in the "Chunky C-Shape", with all joints made with hide glue. Two Gibson custom bucker with Alnico III magnets and a hand-wired circuit with historically correct paper-in-oil capacitors furthermore conjure up the authentic vintage PAF sounds for Blues and rock. Last but not least, the Gibson 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue features authentic Kluson Single Line/Single Ring tuners and the typical combination of Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece.
The Gibson 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue VOS Double Gold is built using traditional manufacturing methods and impresses with authentic vintage sounds.
The neck of the Gibson Les Paul 1957 Goldtop Reissue is glued to the body with Hide-Glue and "Long Neck Tenon" in a historically correct way.

As a faithful recreation of the original Goldtop, the Gibson 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue is naturally built with the authentic woods and manufacturing methods, so that the electric guitar offers a first-class sound and feel. Accordingly, the Gibson Custom Shop uses a one-piece mahogany body with a maple top, while the glued mahogany neck has a long neck foot and a fingerboard made of Indian rosewood. The use of glass-hard hide-glue on the relevant wood joints, together with the nitrocellulose finish, guarantees optimum sound development. Last but not least, the non-slip "Chunky C" neck profile offers optimum playing characteristics.

The electric sound conversion of the Gibson 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue VOS DoubleGold is handled by two Gibson Custombuckers in the neck and bridge position. Equipped with Alnico III magnets and non-waxed coils, the humbuckers prove to be authentic PAF recreations and deliver a particularly warm vintage sound. Cleanly articulating basses, a broad and vocal mid-range spectrum and brilliant highs, together with the organic dynamics, support expressive electric guitar playing in both the clean and overdrive channels. Thanks to the authentic oil paper capacitors, the hand-wired circuit allows the sound to be adjusted with particular sensitivity and harmony.
Six Kluson vintage-style tuners with historically correct single-ring wings guarantee stable and precise tuning.

A high-quality Hardware in the historically accurate Vintage-Style completes the Gibson 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue. The combination of Gibson ABR-1 No-Wire Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminum stopbar tailpiece, designed by Ted McCarty, promises optimum adjustment of intonation and string action. At the headstock, the strings are also guided via the authentic nylon saddle to the Kluson tuners with single-ring wings, which ensure precise and stable Tuning of the electric guitar.
