Guild X-175B Manhattan: Traditional Hollowbody Electric Guitar
A traditionally built hollow body electric guitar, the Guild X-175B Manhattan has a full resonance body with laminated maple back and sides and a laminated spruce top. Accordingly, this Jazzbox has a sonorous basic sound with a warm wooden character. On the "Vintage Soft U"-profile of the glued neck made of three parts maple and mahogany, every barrel, no matter how complex, easily goes out of hand.
Guild Franz P90 Pickup
The Guild X-175B Manhattan Blonde uses two Guild Franz P90 single coil pickups in the neck and bridge position for electric tone conversion. Equipped with classic Alnico 5 magnets and a moderate output, these pickups deliver a warm yet transparent sound at the amplifier that captures the resonance of the hollow body construction. With their lively dynamics, the pickups also implement every playful nuance in detail. The proven layout with a 3-way switch and a volume and tone control for each pickup is available for control.
Classic hardware with vibrato system
The Guild X-175B Manhattan's features are complemented by classic hardware whose unmistakable vintage style underlines the guitar's elegant look. On the body side, the strings are guided accordingly by the stylish Guild Vibrato Tailpiece, with which softly shimmering modulations can be produced, over a height-adjustable Tune-O-Matic bridge, which is mounted on a rosewood base and contributes significantly to the sound character of the guitar. From the bridge, the strings span a classic 24.75" scale (628 mm) before they run over the headstock of the bone saddle to the precise Grover Sta-Tite tuners with open gears.
