The Hammond XK-1c is a single-manual digital organ with the sound of the popular classic B3. The superbly crafted instrument features a highly pleasing 61-key Waterfall keyboard and is velocity sensitive. The Virtual Tonewheel Engine sound generation is the same as in the big XK-5, so the XK-1c has no need to shy away from comparisons and delivers a huge range of popular organ sounds. Whether it's rock, funk, gospel, pop or church accompaniment, the XK-1c is sure to hit the right note. With nine drawbars for upper, lower and pedal parts as well as the percussion mode for the upper part, you can set the desired sound and use the effects overdrive, reverb, leslie, vibrato and chorus to give the sound the final touch. 64 factory and user sounds can be stored in the internal memory, and a further 100 programmes can be stored via a separately available USB stick. If you prefer to work without any memory, you can set the XK-1c to manual mode and play with the current settings. Due to its low weight of only 7.5 kg, the XK-1c is recommended for all those who want the sound of a B3 but have neither space nor helping hands for the big one. An external Leslie cabinet can be connected to the rear 8-pin connector.
