Cruïnn by Instruo is an analog stereo oscillator that uses Thru-Zero phase modulation to generate supersaw sounds. Primarily, the oscillator generates a clean sawtooth around which five other phase-shifted sawtooth waveforms are generated in parallel. Each of the five subordinate sawtooth variants can be animated by its own LFO with triangle waveform, this way creating very lively textures with a certain depth that, depending on the setting, can produce slightly chaotic to swarm-like sounds. In short, Cruïnn is a real specialist for super fat sawtooth sounds, rich pads, phasic basses and poaches in the realms of the supersaw oscillator from the Roland JP-8000 and can be considered as an analog counterpart to SynTech's Cloud Generator. The audio output of the module is equipped with a stereo VCA, so that sound movements in the panorama are possible; in parallel, the sum output is also available in mono. The range of functions is rounded off by the LFO mode as well as an FM input with attenuator, which can be switched between linear and exponential characteristics. The included expander leads all six sawtooths out of the main module individually and offers a separate CV input for the five variants to modulate the waveform phase.
