Elegant headless Bass in multiscale construction (30" - 32")
The Ibanez Bass Workshop EHB1505SMS-FNL Florid Natural Low Gloss is an elegant headless Bass that combines particularly chic woods with an ergonomic multiscale design and top-class add-on parts. While the mahogany body is designed for comfortable handling and features a beautiful poplar burl top, the nine-piece panga-panga walnut neck offers excellent playing characteristics on the 24-fret fingerboard. In addition, the bass guitar offers each string an optimal scale length, so that a defined and harmonious output of the entire tonal range is guaranteed. Two Nordstrand Custom Big Single pickups and the flexible Ibanez Vari-Mid active equalizer also promise a differentiated sound spectrum for almost any style of music. Last but not least, Ibanez equips the Bass Workshop EHB1505SMS-FNL Florid Natural Low Gloss E-Bass with a Custom headpiece and five MR5HS monorail bridges with integrated tuning machines.
The Ibanez Bass Workshop EHB1505SMS-FNL Florid Natural Low Gloss is a five-string shortscale headless bass in multiscale construction with fine wood selection, Nordstrand pickups and active 3-band tone control.
Headless multiscale Bass with ergonomic handling
The modern headless design of the Bass Workshop EHB1505SMS places particular emphasis on ergonomic playing characteristics and a defined sound with harmonious balance. Thanks to the multiscale construction with shortened scale lengths between 30" and 32" (762 mm and 812 mm), each string has the optimum length for it, so that every note is represented precisely. The asymmetrical design and the beveled back of the mahogany body promise a robust and balanced playing position both sitting and standing. In addition, the flat EHB5 neck profile with 45 mm nut width and just 19.5 mm of wood under the first fret provides butter-soft playing characteristics in all positions of the Panga Panga fingerboard, in which 24 virtually wear-free medium stainless steel frets offer a full two octaves of range per string.
Nordstrand pickups and Vari-Mid EQ
The pickups of the Bass Workshop EHB1505SMS Ergonomic Bass come from the American premium manufacturer Nordstrand and make the five-string a sonic all-rounder for band accompaniment and virtuoso solo playing. Thanks to the use of classic Alnico V magnets and two diagonally arranged pole pieces per string, the Nordstrand Custom Big Split pickups, which are wound to the maximum Output, impress with a powerful yet musical sound that responds to the playing style with a smooth sound development. The two-piece coil construction also helps to suppress unwanted background noise. To adjust the tone precisely, Ibanez also equips the five-string bass guitar with an active Vari-Mid 3-band tone control, whose mid-range control has three selectable center frequencies. The EQ bypass switch can also be used to switch the Bass to passive mode, whereby the treble pot becomes a classic treble control.
Reliable hardware equipment
Last but not least, Ibanez equips the Bass Workshop EHB1505SMS-FNL Florid Natural Low Gloss Bass with high-quality add-on parts that also meet professional demands in terms of function and reliability. While a custom headpiece at the neck end guarantees a secure hold of the strings, the precise tuning machines of the Ibanez MR5HS mono-rail bridges ensure exact tuning with unshakeable stability. The generously adjustable string saddles also allow precise adjustment of intonation and string action. Last but not least, Schaller S-Locks hold the five-string securely on the bass strap even during lively shows.
