The four-string not only sides an elaborate construction with a continuous, multi-locked maple neck and multi-layer sandwich body wings, but also stainless steel frets, Bartolini pickups and an active 3-band tone control.
The Ibanez standard BTB740-NTL Natural Low Gloss convinces with its elaborate construction and a versatile sound spectrum.
Ibanez Standard BTB740-NTL: Full-length neck and multi-layer body
The heart of the Ibanez Standard BTB construction is undoubtedly the continuous neck, which is made of three parts maple and locking strips of rosewood. Accordingly, it has a particularly high stability, which ensures a fast response and evenly decaying sustain across all strings. With its flat"D" profile, it also allows any playing technique to be easily handled, whereby the high positions can be easily reached thanks to the wide cutaways of the body wings. These are made in several layers of ash and mahogany with a walnut wood top.
Bartolini pickups and 3-band tone control
The Ibanez standard BTB740 is equipped with two Bartolini BH2 humbuckers for electrical sound conversion. With their firm bass foundation, full-bodied mid-range and silky highs, they offer the perfect basis for almost any musical style between pop, blues, jazz and rock, whereby their extremely lively dynamics support expressive electric bass playing with the most diverse techniques. For further sound adjustment, the Ibanez BTB 4-String is also equipped with an active 3-band tone control, which with the triple switchable center frequency and the harmonic tuning allows particularly precise interventions in the frequency response.
hardware
High-quality hardware equipment also puts the finishing touches to the Ibanez BTB740 standard. Accordingly, a total of four Ibanez Mono-Rail V bridges are used on the body, which not only guarantee perfect intonation and string position, but also prevent mutual influence of the string vibration and thus contribute to the even sound of the 5-string. From the bridge, the strings are passed over the rosewood fingerboard with an extra long scale (35" or 890 mm), in which 24 stainless steel frets in medium format offer two octaves of range. At the headstock, the combination of zero fret and plastic saddle then pulls the strings straight to the precise Ibanez tuners. Another special feature is the Neutrik jack socket, which locks the plug of the intstument cable against unintentional disconnection.
