With the
To build the PRS Custom 24 Faded Blue Wrap Burst, the luthiers around Paul Reed Smith only use selected woods that lead to a wonderful sound experience. For example, selected mahogany is used for the body, while the solid flamed maple top features a distinctive and even flame. The glued mahogany neck with its well-shaped "Pattern Regular" profile offers the perfect balance between firm grip and smooth playability. On the rosewood fretboard traditional bird inlays provide the best orientation across its 24 frets.
The PRS Custom 24 uses two PRS 85/15 humbuckers, which were developed by Paul Reed Smith himself to celebrate the company's 30th anniversary. These pickups convince with their clear sound, whose extended bass and treble spectrum provides the perfect basis for classic and modern sounds, from warm, sparkling clean to singing overdrive to pushing riffs. In addition, the 5-way switch can be used to call up different circuit combinations for different sound nuances:
Position 1: Bridge humbucker
Position 2: Bridge humbucker and splitted neck humbucker in parallel
Position 3: Bridge and neck humbucker
Position 4: Splitted bridge humbucker and splitted neck humbucker in parallel
Position 5: neck humbucker
High quality in-house hardware is used to wrap up the Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 Faded Blue Wrap Burst. The strings are held by the proven PRS Gen III tremolo, which impresses with its smooth handling and high functionality, and offers a comfortable grip thanks to its rounded edges. At the headstock the strings run with straight tension from the nut to the PRS Phase III locking tuners. These guarantee a high tuning stability even with frequent use of the vibrato arm and make string changes much easier. The PRS Custom 24 comes in an elegant PRS case, offering the electric guitar the best possible protection during transport.
