The TORAIZ SP-16 is a professional sampler and step sequencer with integrated 7 inch full color touchscreen for DJs and producers. With the 16-step sequencer you can create up to 256 patterns and via Pro DJ Link and MIDI Clock everything is always in the right timing. The extensive sound generator is equipped with the excellent sounding analog filters from Dave Smith Instruments' Prophet-6 synthesizer. Apart from that, the intuitive sampler provides 16 multicolored performance pads with velocity mode that allow you to manipulate, play and layer one-shot samples in real time thanks to the powerful processor. Furthermore, the step sequencer has an 8GB flash memory and can thus work as a stand-alone device completely autonomously, so that no computer needs to be present in the DJ booth. With the Pioneer TORAIZ SP-16, DJs can now become even more creative in their performance or in the studio.
The 16-step sequencer gives you the ability to create up to 256 different patterns. You load your sounds into the sequencer and can immediately fire them off and modulate them with the six endless knobs. For a quick overview, the buttons light up in the color you assigned to the respective sound. Of course, the patterns can be saved so that you can recall and play them back during your performance.
The Pioneer TORAIZ SP-16 features a large 7 inch full color touch screen that provides detailed sample information. Whether fast browsing, recalling samples or assigning the color to the respective sample, all this and editing further parameters are possible via the touch display and the knobs below.
The multi-colored performance pads with velocity mode can be fed with up to 16 different samples and played directly. The pads reflect the colors you assigned to the samples. The pads invite finger drumming or layering of multiple sounds. The velocity mode allows you to determine the volume of a sample with the velocity of a pad.
The integrated 8 GB flash memory provides enough storage space to let the sound generator work in stand-alone mode or does not require a laptop for use. In addition, the TORAIZ SP-16 provides enough power to play all 16 samples simultaneously and modulate them in real time with time stretching, pitch bend or the amp envelope.
Pioneer, in collaboration with Dave Smith, has equipped the TORAIZ SP-16 with analog filters from the cult synthesizer Prophet-6. With the three dedicated dial controls you have direct access to cut-off, resonance and drive. Perfect for shaping sounds and adding presence and real analog warmth.
With Pro DJ Link you synchronize your one-shots and loops with the timing of the master deck. This can be a connected CDJ or XDJ. This way, your sounds never get out of sync in terms of timing. Thanks to MIDI clock, other devices connected via USB also stay in sync.
