The Sigma SOMR-45 at a glance:
Thanks to its solid construction, the Sigma SOMR-45 produces a very balanced sound that is suitable for both fine picking and light strumming. While the fretboard has enough space to master even complex fingering patterns, the flat low-profile ensures extremely high playability in all 20 frets. Furthermore, the high-quality bone hardware and the golden tuners guarantee perfect intonation and clean tuning. The acoustic guitar is visually rounded off by filigree abalone inlays and a high-gloss finish. The scope of delivery includes a lightweight yet stable Sigma Softshell Case SSC-OM.
Construction and woods
The construction consists of a Sitka spruce top on a rosewood body so that every note can be developed evenly and powerfully. This combination ensures an overall very balanced sound that responds quickly and comprehensively. At the same time, the flat mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard promises an easy grip.
Hardware and design
The compensated bridge inlay and the 44.5 mm wide bone nut are perfectly matched, so that the Sigma SOMR-45 Gitarre intonates cleanly over the entire scale length of 645 mm. Open tuners also make it easy to tune the strings and add a classy touch to the overall look with the golden hardware. The frets are marked with generous hexagon inlays that perfectly match the multi-ply binding and the three-ring soundhole rosette.
