I needed the best DAW for creating my midi drum parts, processing them and sending them to my bandmates. Ive checked Ableton, ProTools, Sonar, Reaper and many more - none of them were responding my demands which were not that very weird or complicated though. I wanted my perfect DAW had: - full function drum editor with the notes as diamonds, and not piano roll with the notes as lines. In drum part the not length is not important at all. - midi modifiers for quick and easy humanize - easy implementation of Superior Drummer - possibility to export my midi drums as a bunch of separate wav files (each for every drum or mic I use in Superiour Drummer) - easy connection with my Roland e-drums - flexible monitoring system - 64 bit version is a must
I should say that Cubase 8 Pro (only PRO, not other versions) is the only DAW which has all the features I need. Im not a sound engineer or producer. Im a drummer. And Cubase 8 Pro is the best DAW for drummers and midi composers 100%!
