The TC Electronic Skysurfer Reverb is a one-stop solution for all of your basic reverb needs. You can dive into deep splashy oceans or ride the ambient airwaves above via three high-quality reverb algorithms, all housed in a sturdy and compact pedal that is highly affordable. This studio-quality reverb pedal offers Spring, Plate and Hall modes to deliver lush and transparent reverb sounds without ever compromising your original tone.
Spring gives you all the drippy, splashy goodness of an old spring reverb tank, great for a full-on Dick Dale surf attack, whereas Plate and Hall take your tone from earthy and organic to interstellar spaceflight. With true bypass switching and top-mounted jack connectors, this pedal features a sturdy metal chassis that makes this pedal equally roadworthy and pedalboard friendly.
Excellent value for money and well built. The effect levels can be too much though, so the dials need to be no higher than 9 o’clock to get a useable sound
This pedal has a lot of reverb. If I have one complaint its that it's difficult to tame it. Even with the mix pretty low it's still abundant. On clean tones it's very usable, but on higher gain it gets bit lost and muddies the sound. Design is good and having 3 types of reverb gives it some nice variations.
This reverb has a good overall tone and 3 selectors to choose from (spring, plate, hall). It's maybe not as versatile as some of the offerings out there like the TC Electronic Hall of Fame, which is probably better suited for more ambient soundscapes, but this reverb is still a very good choice.
