Tama has decided to reintroduce the powerful and concise sound of the classic acrylic kettles. The Japanese company is clearly taking advantage of the technical progress of our time with the Silverstar Mirage , and has created an acrylic set which is really bombastic in terms of sound and appearance. The reason for this is that the Silverstar Mirage Tama has all modern Tama features, including the STAR-MOUNT system.
The Silverstar Mirage is strictly limited, only a limited number of pieces are available. The cauldrons produce the typical acrylic sound, dry, defined and with powerful attack. It is a 6-piece set, including Snare drum and the high-quality HB5W hardware set. The Star Mount System holds the Tom kettles at 4 points of the tee on the flap side and provides an optimized vibration behavior of the Silverstar Tom Toms. The tom holders can also be moved longitudinally, which gives an extra clearance of 50 mm when positioning the tom.
All Silverstar drums are equipped with Sound Arc Hoops. The upper edge of the hoop is bent inwards, which protects the sticks, but above all emphasizes the natural sound of the kettle. They also provide improved response and more precision and control. The acrylic boilers are seamless, which guarantees stability and sound security. High-quality workmanship and the excellent boiler hardware make the set a reliable companion in the studio and of course on stage, where it undoubtedly makes a special optical Reitz.
