Matte black electric guitar for nimble shredding.
As the legitimate descendant of the coveted Metal Axxe series, the Vintage VMX Series Raider Satin Black is all about nimble shredding. Wrapped in timeless matte black, the limited edition VR2000VMX guitar not only features an agile ST design with an extra-fast D-profile maple neck but also powerful Wilkinson pickups in flexible HSH setups that help turn even the smallest combo amp into a fire-breathing metal monster. As an official workhorse for guitarists with nimble fingers, the Vintage VMX Series Raider naturally comes with a Floyd Rose Tremolo for tuning-stable whammy bar action when playing lead.
The Vintage VMX Series Raider Satin Black is an official shredding guitar with hot Wilkinson pickups and Floyd Rose locking tremolo.
A flat neck base and wide cutaways allow unobstructed access to the high registers of the fast maple neck.
Classic construction with first-class handling
When designing the Raider, Vintage Guitars pays special attention to a cleanly articulated sound and excellent playing characteristics with unrestricted clearance for riffs and solos at top speed. While the ergonomic belly cut on the back allows the slim poplar body to rest comfortably against the body, wide Cutaways and the flat neck foot allow unhindered access to the highest registers of the bolt-on maple neck. With its flat but wide D-profile, it offers the best conditions for easy implementation of classic and modern shredding techniques on the 24-fret rosewood fingerboard, in which adequate Sail Fin inlays mark the positions.
Two powerful Wilkinson WMSH Hex Pole-Piece Humbucker a cultivated WSV Single Coil promise multi-faceted rock and metal sounds.
Wilkinson pickup for official metal sounds
As pickup for the VR2000VMX Raider Vintage chooses three powerful Wilkinson pickups in HSH configuration, which also elicit official distorted rock and metal sounds from small guitar amps. In the neck and bridge position, Wilkinson WMSH open-coil humbuckers with powerful hex pole pieces not only provide powerful timbres with rich pushing basses and aggressive assertiveness in the mids, but also surprisingly cultivated clean sounds with enormous sonority. The Wilkinson WVS Single Coil in the middle position, on the other hand, enriches the repertoire of the electric guitar and glassy tones with lively dynamics. In addition to the 5-way blade switch for selecting the pickup, master volume and master tone controls grant the controls over the sound of the VMX Raider guitar.
On the pointed 6-in-line headstock, Wilkinson WJ07 tuners bring the VR2000VMX Raider into proper tuning.
Tuning stable Floyd Roe tremolo
Of course, Vintage completes the VR2000VMX Raider Satin Black, optimized for light-fast shredding, with a Floyd Rose FRTS 2000 Special tremolo system that responds quickly and smoothly to the tremolo lever, allowing advanced lead playing techniques to be implemented with ease. The double-locking design with additional string fixation at the clamp saddle guarantees unshakable tuning stability here, so that the guitar remains safely in tune even after the most violent dive bombs. On the razor-sharp 6-in-line headstock, Wilkinson WJ07 tuners bring the Vintage Raider electric guitar quickly and precisely into tune.
