WALRUS AUDIO Mako R1 High-Fidelity Stereo Reverb
Stereo reverb effect pedal with six reverb algorithms and extensive sound options
With the Walrus Audio Mako R1 High-Fidelity Stereo Reverb, the American effects manufacturer presents a powerful reverb effect pedal that leaves no wish unfulfilled, from intimate room sound to spherical experimental sound.
Six Reverb Algorithms
Six studio-quality, characterful algorithms form the basis of the first-class reverb sounds. They not only emulate classic room, jump or plate reverbs, but also more experimental reverb sounds such as the rich Big F___ Reverb, the RFRCTReverb with its charming glitches, and the diffuse Air Reverb.
Extensive options for tweaking the sound
To find the perfect reverb sound for any musical vision, the Mako R1 offers extensive options for tweaking the sound. While the Mix and Decay controls determine the ratio of effect and clean signal as well as the decay time of the reverb tail, the Tweak and Tune pots each control three sound-defining parameters. The Swell control also determines the integrated Volume Swell effect, which slowly swells the volume after the attack.
Nine Presets, Three Bypass Modes
Once found, sounds can be stored in one of the Walrus Audio Mako R1 Reverb's nine directly accessible memory locations. When using MIDI, the number of memory locations can be increased to 128. Furthermore, the effect pedal offers three bypass modes, which not only provide the classic true bypass and buffered bypass, but also the innovative DSP+True bypass, which first allows the reverb tail to fade completely and then switches the pedal to true bypass under relay control.
The Walrus Audio Mako R1 High-Fidelity Stereo Reverb at a glance:
Flexible stereo reverb effects pedal, made in the USA.
Six characterful reverb algorithms (Spring, Hall, Plate, BFR, RFRCT/Refract, Air)
Volume swell function to slowly increase the volume after the attack
Mix control determines the ratio of effect and dry signal
Swell control adjusts the length of the volume swell effect
Decay knob adjusts the decay time of the reverb tail
Tweak knob with three functions to adjust the pre-delay (time until the reverb starts) as well as rate and depth of the integrated modulation effect
a Tune control with three functions for adjusting the sound (Lo and Hi) and a parameter (X) that depends on the selected reverb algorithm
Memory for nine effect settings, divided into three banks of three presets (128 presets when using MIDI)
Sustain function for momentary or permanent freezing of the reverb tail, controlled via Sus/Latch footswitch
Three bypass types (True Bypass, DSP+True Bypass, DSP Bypass)
