Virtuoso body made of alder & 5-striped Speed neck
For unrestricted playability in the highest registers of the 24-fret ebony fingerboard, the Virtuoso body is made of al der with wide-ranging Cutaways and an additional scoop on the back. With just 19 mm of wood behind the first fret, the Speed neck made of five strips of maple and caramelized maple offers virtuoso lead guitarists a perfect base, while the compound radius of the fingerboard, which increases from 12 inches in the lower registers to 16 inches in the highest frets, skilfully underlines both Chords and technically demanding layered playing.
Seymour Duncan SH-1n '59 & TB-4 Trembucker
For the pickup equipment of the American Series Virtuoso, Jackson USA relies on two absolute Hot-Rod classics. The combination of a Seymour Duncan SH-1n '59 humbucker and a Seymour Duncan TB-4 JB trembucker on the bridge, designed for the String spacing of Floyd Rose tremolos, is a tried and tested combination that guarantees hot rock and metal sounds. The five-position pickup selector switch can also be used to call up two additional combination circuits that are not available as standard on most electric guitars with a HH setup.
Floyd Rose 1500 Series Tremolo & Gotoh MG-T Locking
As a special highlight for fans of virtuoso lead acrobatics, the Jackson American Series Virtuoso offers an original Floyd Rose 1500 Series tremolo that enables techniques such as dive bombs, squeals and much more. In combination with a matching Floyd Rose locking saddle and high-quality Gotoh MG-T tuners with locking function, the American Series Virtuoso can handle any tremolo action with tuning stability. Last but not least, the two Dunlop dual-locking strap pins ensure absolutely secure performances or stage.
