I was debating whether or not to go with the PM-100 or the PM-200. It is being used for an electronic drum kit in an apartment for when I want to give the headphones a rest and just hear the set without encumbrance. I was skeptical about the smaller of the two, the PM-100, as I thought it might be under-powered. I was envisioning trying to turn it up to reasonable levels and getting nothing but muddy sound and distortion. Well I, as well as my neighbors, are very happy I did not go with the PM-200 in this case, as the PM-100 will bring the police if you really turn it up. This is a highly efficient, well-balanced monitor that packs one heck of a punch. You could easily play small gigs if you had to and it has more than enough headroom for playing in an apartment, house, garage, etc. I would only recommend going with the PM-200 if you need the XLR-Out, which is not a feature on the PM-100.
