The Maybach Jetwing M BlackVelvet electric guitar at a glance
With the Maybach Jetwing M Black Velvet, the Czech guitar building experts are reviving an absolute classic among the electric guitar designs of the last century. In classic Maybach style, the instrument with its distinctive arrow shape features two coveted amber humbuckers from the pen of German pickup winder Wolfgang Damm, while the careful selection of tonewoods and solid Japanese Gotoh hardware ensure outstanding functionality and a resonant basic sound. Naturally, a matching hardshell Case and a certificate of authenticity with detailed information about the instrument are included.
The Maybach Jetwing M Black Velvet is a successful interpretation of the arrow-shaped classic of the late fifties.
Mahogany V-Body & Big-'C' Neck
For the basic construction of the Jetwing, Maybach Guitars uses solid mahogany wood, which gives the guitar its unmistakable sound character. The traditional set-neck construction with a resonant glue joint between the neck heel and body also plays a role that should not be underestimated. The neck of the Jetwing is quite sturdy in the style of the fifties and offers a comfortable thumb rest for controlled handling in all positions of the rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets.
Amber Spirit or '59 & Supernova Custom
The two Amber humbuckers cover a particularly wide range of possible sounds and know how to impress with first-class sounds in almost every area. While the Amber Spirit or '59, wound in the classic P.A.F. style, evokes the best sound characteristics of the late fifties and is ideal for warm, vocal jazz lines and differentiated Chords, the Amber Supernova Custom, installed in the bridge position, offers additional Output for all applications from Classic rock to modern high gain thanks to its hotter coil winding. The wiring, on the other hand, remains true to the classic model with two volume controls and shared treble control.
