Sustain & Expression pedals as a practical box

Endorphin.es, in collaboration with synth youtuber LOOPOP, presents the Plus 3, which brings the clunky foot pedals Sustain and Expression to the table as a hand-friendly version in a compact space! Anyone who needs the functions but never wanted to make friends with "gas and brake" under the table now finally has the option of placing these essential functions on or next to a synth, effects unit or MIDI controller to save space. The fader takes over the function of the expression pedal. The red momentary button fulfills the function of the sustain pedal as long as it is pressed. The black switch above it activates the hold/drone mode. If the latter is active, pressing the red button again interrupts the hold function (swap mode).

Where can the Plus 3 be used?

Most USB/DAW keyboards have inputs for Sustain and expression, for some it is certainly worth considering equipping these inputs with the Plus 3; the same applies to many keyboard synthesizers. Things get a little more specialized if you want to control entries in the modulation matrix in synths such as the Modor NF-1 or Sequential Pro3. Plus 3 also works wonders in combination with effects units: with the Enorphin.es pedals Golden Master and Ghost you can modulate assigned parameters via fader, remotely control the knobs of a Moogerfooger pedal or, for example, the reverb mix in the Analog Heat +FX for example. Sustain is more familiar from playing the piano to make pressed notes last longer. With synthesizers, the full sustain value of the VCA envelope can be used to create authentic drone sounds.
