Introducing the Dark Cloud Textural Delay:
The Diamond Pedals Dark Cloud Textural Delay at a glance:
With the Dark Cloud Textural Delay, the Canadian effects manufacturer Diamond Pedals delivers a versatile effects pedal with great features thanks to its hybrid analog-digital design. With three delay modes - consisting of tape, harmonic and reverse - both classic and modern delay effects are available. This is made possible by the unique digital Bucket Brigade Delay (dBBD) technology, which conveys the iconic warm sound of an analog delay effect in Tape mode, while Harmonic and Reverse modes are available for creative sounds and experimental tones. Whether it's shallow delay nuances for rhythmic slap-back effects or far-reaching ambience walls: the Dark Cloud Delay from Diamond Pedals impresses with an incomparable sound character that can be used in all genres.
The versatile Dark Cloud Textural Delay not only offers a wide range of setting options, but also fits on any pedalboard thanks to its robust and compact housing.
Simple structure - great effect
The structure of the Dark Cloud Delay is limited to essential parameters that guarantee clear and intuitive operation and do not require a steep learning curve. Quite the opposite: classic controls for Delay and feedback can be used to set the delay time and the repetition of the delay effect, while the mix control is available for precise coordination between the dry and wet signal. In addition, the Mod knob can be used to control one of the three effect algorithms, while the central toggle switch is set to Mode.
The Dark Cloud Delay also comes with a tap tempo function, allowing the delay time to be individually adjusted. The three effect modes offer plenty of scope for creative ideas and cover the legendary sound of early analog delay effects with the Tape Delay mode, while the Harmonic mode can provide exotic sounds by harmonically pitching the original signal. The Reverse mode creates a delay effect that plays the original signal backwards and is available for wild lofi sounds and experimental ambience sounds.
