Accordingly, the electric guitar has a mahogany body with a maple top and a set mahogany neck in the "Chunky C-Shape", with all joints made with hide glue. Two Gibson custom bucker with Alnico III magnets and a hand-wired circuit with historically correct paper-in-oil capacitors furthermore conjure up the authentic vintage PAF sounds for Blues and rock. Last but not least, the Gibson 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue features authentic Kluson Single Line/Single Ring tuners and the typical combination of Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece.

As a faithful recreation of the original Goldtop, the Gibson 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue is naturally built with the authentic woods and manufacturing methods, so that the electric guitar offers a first-class sound and feel. Accordingly, the Gibson Custom Shop uses a one-piece mahogany body with a maple top, while the glued mahogany neck has a long neck foot and a fingerboard made of Indian rosewood. The use of glass-hard hide glue on the relevant wood joints in conjunction with the nitrocellulose finish guarantees optimum sound development. Last but not least, the non-slip "Chunky C-Shape" neck profile offers optimum playing characteristics.

The electric sound conversion of the Gibson 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue VOS DoubleGold with Dark Back is handled by two Gibson custom bucker in the neck and bridge position. Equipped with Alnico III magnets and non-waxed coils, the humbuckers prove to be authentic PAF recreations and deliver a particularly warm vintage sound. Cleanly articulating basses, a broad and vocal mid-range spectrum and brilliant trebles, together with the organic dynamics, support expressive electric guitar playing in both the clean and overdrive channels. Thanks to the authentic oil paper capacitors, the hand-wired circuit allows the sound to be adjusted with particular sensitivity and harmony.
