The Fireface 802 FS is a first-class high-end USB audio interface from RME designed for users who don't want to compromise on sound, reliability and latency. The 19" device scores with its large and unrivaled professional range of functions, while in addition to the use with Mac or PC computers, there is the optional possibility to work standalone and integrate iPads.

With a total of 60 channels, various connections - analog or digital - and DC-coupled outputs, the Fireface 802 FS offers everything you need for a professional centerpiece of your studio.

Connections, connections, connections!

If you want to run larger music productions and be as versatile as possible, this is the perfect choice: with a total of 30 input / 30 output channels, 12 analog inputs and outputs, an AES/EBU I/O, the two ADAT connections and the MIDI interface, you won't break a sweat any time soon. Thanks to these options, you can create tape, orchestral or live recordings and benefit from the latest A/D and D/A converter chips with low latency at high resolutions of up to 192kHz.

Those who like to use standalone and/or their iPad at work will be delighted with the Class Compliant Mode. An iPad Pro with USB C can manage up to 60 channels for recording and output in TotalMix FX for iPad and at system level.

The optional ARC USB Remote Control is another option for operation. It is simply connected to the computer via USB and communicates directly with TotalMix FX. This provides you with 15 freely assignable and illuminated buttons, an encoder wheel and a jack plug for connecting a footswitch.

CV/Gate Voltage Control

Traditionally, most audio interfaces are equipped with AC-coupled outputs. Unwanted, low-frequency signals should be filtered out, as they not only eat up headroom, but can potentially damage other devices.

However, RME works with DC-coupled outputs that use the static or slow signals to control various parameters such as pitch values or LFOs of modular synthesizers - and other studio hardware.

TotalMix FX - experience extensive routing and mixing via RME's own software

ICC - the Intelligent Clock Control not only shows the status of all clocks, but also keeps the last valid sample rate in case of a failure of the external source.

DigiCheck - unique software toolbox for testing, measuring & analyzing digital audio signals. On board are spectral analyzer, goniometer and bit statistics
