The Sterling by Music Man John Petrucci MAJ100 Majesty Chalk Grey is the signature guitar of the Dream Theater guitarist and offers an innovative design that impresses with unrestricted playability and versatile sounds of the harder kind. The ergonomic body design and the free-standing neck in the D-profile promise unrestricted access to all positions of the fingerboard, while hot humbuckers and the switchable 12dB Boost on the amplifier provide plenty of pressure. The Sterling Majesty is completed by an SBMM Modern Tremolo and SBMM Locking tuners.
As the signature guitar of the Dream Theater guitarist, the Sterling by Music Man John Petrucci MAJ100 Majesty Chalk Grey also meets the highest demands in terms of playing comfort and sound.
The free-standing Nyatoh neck is glued to the body of the Majesty MAJ100 and offers the best playing characteristics right up to the highest registers.
Innovative design and high playing comfort
The innovative design of the Sterling Majesty was developed in close cooperation with John Petrucci and convinces with an incomparably high playability for advanced progressive metal playing techniques. The Nyatoh body is not only extremely stable on the thigh when seated, but also assumes a perfectly balanced position on the strap. The wide cutaways also expose the entire Nyatoh neck to allow unhindered access to the high positions of the rosewood fingerboard. The wide D-profile and the flat fingerboard radius of 16" (406 mm) also allow every riff and solo to come out of the fingers with ease.
Two powerful Sterling by Music Man humbuckers and the 12 dB gain boost that can be switched on via the push/push volume pot promise first-class progressive metal sounds.
Powerful humbuckers and active boost
As a John Petrucci Signature electric guitar, the Sterling by Music Man JP100 Majesty naturally delivers brute metal sounds on the amplifier, but also shows its gentle strings in the clean channel. The Sterling by Music Man humbuckers installed in the neck and bridge position convince with a well-dosed Output and a harmonically balanced reproduction that lets solo lines sing with endless Sustain, while riffs are presented with tight definition. Clean played chords and melodies are also presented with first-class string separation. Furthermore, the SBMM Majesty offers an active boost, which is activated via the push/pull volume pot and boosts the signal by 12 dB for additional volume and gain reserves.
Six practical Sterling by Music Man locking tuners on the headstock keep the Majesty MAJ100 securely in tune.
Modern Tremolo and Locking tuners
Sterling by Music Man also equips the John Petrucci MAJ100 Majesty with high-quality Hardware, whose high functionality ensures unrestricted playing pleasure. The SBMM Modern Tremolo is used as the bridge, which is mounted on two pins and impresses with its buttery smooth handling. Thanks to the undercut, both up and down bendings are possible without any problems, while six individually adjustable string saddles guarantee precise intonation and a comfortable string position even when using thick strings and low tunings. From the bridge, the strings are guided towards the headstock with the classic 25.5" scale length (648 mm), on which SBMM Locking tuners in the typical "4+2" arrangement promise robust tuning even with frequent use of the whammy bar.
