BD909 brings the unadulterated sound of the world-famous TR-909 to your rack! Thanks to modern production methods, the module also comes with a few extras that transform the original circuit into a real Bass Drum laboratory. The module sounds exactly as if it was created on the production line of that time! The Tiptop Audio BD909 generates the unique punch by focusing the energy on the mid and bass frequencies, leaving plenty of room for sub-bass backgrounds. Original TR-909 Operation & more: BD909 contains all the controls of the original: Attack, Decay, Tune Decay, Accent and Volume.

The sound palette of BD909 is even more flexible thanks to additional parameters:

an adjustable Tuning with CV input and attenuator
control for Tuning Attack and extended Tuning Decay with mutual influence for interactive sound design
additional punch and overdrive thanks to the internal Waveshaper which can be controlled manually or via CV

Easy integration

All these small, useful functions make it easy to integrate this legendary sound into your modular system, which unleashes the analogue power and makes the speaker domes shake!
The numerous Tiptop drum modules form a complete, flexible synthesizer system in themselves. In combination with the MIXZ module, the sum mix can be tapped without prior patching.

Dual Input Pulse Shaper

The dual input pulse shaper circuit located in the inputs makes it possible to trigger the sounds via conventional trigger/gate signals from sequencers, Clock dividers or other pulse/clock sources without having to calibrate the levels of the trigger pulses in advance, thus eliciting consistently powerful sounds from the module regardless of the trigger signal.
