When building the 1964 Historic Reissue ES-335, the Gibson Custom Shop naturally follows the guidelines from the golden sixties. The vibrant maple-poplar laminate body is stabilized by a solid maple center block, so that despite the airy acoustic tone there is no feedback to spoil the enjoyment of the sound. In addition, the glued mahogany neck comes in the pleasantly powerful "Authentic '64 Medium C-Shape", so that every lick on the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard comes out of the fingers as if by magic.
With custom bucker pickups and semi-acoustic construction, the 1964 Reissue ES-335 delivers first-class vintage sounds.
Gibson Custom Bucker
With two Gibson Custom Bucker pickups, the 1964 Reissue E-335 delivers first-class vintage sounds for the classic styles of Blues and rock on the guitar amplifier. As authentic PAF reissues, the pickups with Alnico III magnets impress with a detailed output of the hollow-body sound and an airy dynamic response. The typical, hand-wired 3-way circuit, which features separate volume and tone controls for each humbucker and Paper-in-Oil Caps, allows precise adjustment of the tone color.
Kluson machine heads in the historically correct "Single Line, Double Ring" promise precise tuning.
Authentic hardware equipment
The Historic Reissue ES-335 from Gibson also impresses in terms of Hardware authenticity down to the smallest detail. On the body, the combination of aluminum Tailpiece and ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge established under the aegis of Ted McCarty ensures precise adjustment of intonation and string action. Behind the historically correct nylon saddle , Kluson tuners with an authentic "Single Line, Double Ring" look also promise precise and robust tuning of the electric guitar.
