Degenerations Emulator from 2hp
Lo-Fi Black by 2HP knows how to degrade sounds, as was often the case with some digital and analog audio devices in the past. Nowadays, decades later, this is affectionately referred to as quirks and "happy accidents". :-) The module has two degradation modes, analog and digital. The analogue mode is based on the characteristics of an old, poorly calibrated tape recorder. Wow & Flutter is used to set subtle to dynamic pitch fluctuations, while another control adds crackle, tape compression and saturation. The digital mode mainly acts like a typical bit crusher and covers the signal with digital crunch and emulates overdriven speakers. In other words, Lo-Fi does exactly what you wanted to avoid in the past, but with the difference that these "errors" are now deliberately built in. When all controls are set to the left stop (passthrough), the module works with a clean, internal resolution of 48 kHz / 32-bit. Lo-Fi is designed for mono signals and there is a separate CV input for each of the three parameters.
