What are the most popular exotic guitar designs?

One of the most iconic non-traditional guitar designs is undoubtedly the Gibson Flying V. Named after its distinctive "V" shape, this model is a staple in rock and metal music. Equally famous is the Gibson Explorer, introduced in 1958, featuring a futuristic angular body with sharp edges on the upper and lower sections. Other unique guitar designs prioritize ergonomics and innovation, such as the highly regarded Strandberg Boden and the Mayones Hydra, both designed for maximum playing comfort.

Who plays exotic guitars?

Many renowned guitarists have developed their own signature guitar designs. The late, great Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Randy Rhoads helped popularize the arrow-shaped Jackson model, which later influenced the signature guitars of artists like Alexi Laiho and Kirk Hammett’s ESP. Metallica’s rhythm guitarist James Hetfield is known for playing the ESP Snakebyte, a distinctive model with a bold and aggressive look.

In alternative and indie rock, J.
