The combination of the legendary Explorer and Futura designs unites solid and high-quality hardware components, chic and resonant tonewoods and an enormously versatile sound thanks to two Fishman Fluence humbuckers with additional switching options. This Extura also features visual refinements such as a AAA curly maple veneer and an elegant brushed nickel hardware finish. Thanks to its slim design with optimized neck heel and profile, the Prophecy Extura is ideal for fans of refined shred sounds and players with high technical demands on their instrument.

The Epiphone Prophecy Extura is the successful combination of Explorer and Futura and focuses on enormous sound variety and absolute playability.

Perfect playability in all positions

The fact that the Epiphone Prophecy Extura is designed for pure playing pleasure is proven by its extremely well thought-out body design. The mahogany body with chic AAA curly maple veneer and particularly wide Cutaway for easier access to the higher registers also features a contoured neck foot, which provides a comfortable resting point for the thumb when playing in the highest frets. The Asymmetrical Slim Taper profile of the mahogany neck also plays an important role here, with its slim design particularly promoting sophisticated playing techniques.

Enormous sound variety thanks to Fishman Fluence

The fact that the Epiphone Prophecy Extura not only knows how to serve modern genres is impressively demonstrated by its two Fishman Fluence humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions. Both pickups have two different voicings, which can either produce traditional and characterful vintage sounds in PAF style or, in modern mode, provide a tight response with a high but always defined Output for fans of modern metal sounds. Coupled with the option of switching both pickups to Coil Split mode, this results in unimagined sound combinations ranging from clear California-style single coil sounds to the coveted Woman Tone and a razor-sharp high-gain sound for rhythms and solos.

Solid Hardware from Epiphone and Grover

In order to be ready for use at any time, both on stage and in the rehearsal room, Epiphone gives the Prophecy Extura six Grover Rotomatic tuners, whose backlocking function not only makes string changes extremely fast, but also immediately ensures indestructible tuning stability. At the other end is the popular LockTone combination of Tune-o-Matic and Stopbar, whose lockable pins ensure extremely direct resonance transmission and provide extensive adjustment options in terms of intonation and string action.
