The Echo II DV Desktop from Sonnet is a Thunderbolt expansion system that offers two PCIe slots for full-height, single-width cards. It allows the useof Thunderbolt-compatible PCIe cards such as video capture, audio and network cards as well as SSDs, but not GPUs. With its 40 Gbps Thunderbolt 3 ports, it offers a maximum bandwidth of 2880 MB/s per slot. The device has a very quiet operation thanks to temperature-controlled Noctua fans, a robust aluminum housing and a powerful 400W power supply with 75W additional power per slot.
The device has a ThunderLok 3 fuse that holds the Thunderbolt cable securely in place and prevents accidental disconnection. This ensures a robust connection and uninterrupted work, especially during intensive applications. The Echo II DV Desktop is compatible with macOs (including Apple M-Series), Windows and Linux.
