Orange Crush 20

This is a superior product, with the quality of its big Orange brothers (made in China, designed in England, the attached label states). This little amplifier does not only look like the real thing but delivers like the real thing as well. It has 2 channels (clean/dirty). The clean channel sounds incredibly clean and the dirty channel goes incredibly dirty (without losing its peculiar sound). The dirty channel goes from bluesy, crunchy, to heavy metal distortion (at a degree never heard on such a small device). In addition there is a pedal connection to fluently change between both channels. The Treble, Bass and Middle Switches work very well and give you the possibility to adapt from jazzy to bluesy, rock… You can exercise with this amp at a very low level (even with the kids sleeping) and still have a nice sound (also on the dirty channel). Off course there is also a headphone output. The headphone output can be used as a line out with what Orange calls CabSim-loaded to simulate the sound of a cabinet. It does not seem to deliver the same amount of overdrive as the 8 inch speaker itself does. The aux input is very clear and works perfect for your mp3/drumbox. The clean channel works very well with pedals, the dirty channel generates some extra noise. There is no reverb on this speaker but the clean channel has a warm sound from itself. Up to you to decide if the reverb is worth the extra money. Conclusion: the Orange Crush 20 is the perfect practice amp for analog lovers (no modelling on this amp).

for this price this thing is a great amp! it can go from very clean to nice and crunchy in a instant. Wish i had got the reverb version now instead of this one :)
