If you need a compact audio interface for professional audio recordings or streaming music, the Zoom AMS-24 is the perfect choice. It doesn't matter which DAW you have, whether you prefer to record guitars or vocals and which streaming platform you want to use - the USB 2.0 interface offers the most important features in a small format.
Starting with the channels, two combo sockets (XLR/jack) are available. Both allow line and microphone signals, whereby Input 1 is a Hi-Z input for electric guitars/basses. The 48V phantom power, which is required for condenser microphones, can be easily activated on the side of the device.
Another practical feature is the stereo link function, which allows both inputs to be adjusted via a control. This is particularly useful for stereo signals that are plugged in on the left and right and require exactly the same amplification.
There is a Direct Monitor switch on the side so that you can pre-listen to and monitor your signals directly. The signal is simultaneously connected to your recording or streaming software. The Loopback feature can also be activated directly next to it. Here, the input signal is combined with the playback signal from the computer and fed to the streaming software used. This is a perfect way to add background music to your stream or to combine live vocals with a backing track.
In general, two headphone outputs and a stereo output for loudspeakers are available for monitoring, so you can work versatilely anywhere.
