Behringer was founded in Willich, Germany in 1989. By 2007, Behringer was considered one of the world's 14 largest music equipment manufacturers. Today, Behringer is a multinational company with production in China. In 2009, Behringer acquired the renowned PA manufacturers Midas and Klark Teknik.
Uli Behringer began developing audio equipment in 1989 while studying sound engineering and piano at the Robert-Schumann-Hochschule in Düsseldorf.
In 2002, the company opened its own factory called Behringer City in Zhongshan, China. This is where 2.5 million Behringer products are manufactured every year. The manufacturer produces 50,000 mixing consoles there every month - with a failure rate of less than 0.1%! The low error rate is due to Behringer's excellent quality control system at Behringer City.
Behringer products can be found at MUSIC STORE in almost every category. Behringer initially became famous for its audio processors. To this day there are still a large number of efficient products in the PA/recording sector at low prices, such as the extremely affordable consoles of the UB series.
