The Gibson 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue VOS Iced Tea Burst is a historically accurate reissue of the first "'Burst" model and therefore impresses with the authentic feel and sound of an end-50s electric guitar. Here the Gibson Custom Shop follows the tradition of a mahogany body with a maple top and a set mahogany neck with a more powerful "Chunky C-Shape". With two Gibson Custombucker pickups and the hand-wired circuitry, the electric guitar furthermore delivers first-class vintage sounds whose character can hardly be distinguished from the legendary PAFs. Last but not least, the Gibson 1958 Les Paul Standard VOS Iced Tea Burst features authentic Hardware in the form of a no-wire ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece and Kluson single line/single ring tuners.

Built using traditional methods, the Gibson 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue impresses with the feel and sound of the legendary "Holy Grails". Accordingly, the Gibson Custom Shop uses a one-piece mahogany body with a correct plain maple top, while the mahogany neck is glued with a long neck foot and carries a fingerboard made of Indian rosewood. The use of glass-hard hide-glue guarantees optimum sound development across the entire instrument. The strong "chunky C-shape" neck profile together with the 12" fingerboard radius and the narrow frets also ensure an authentic playing feel.
The two Gibson Custombuckers of the Gibson 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue are managed by the classic 3-way circuit with authentic oil paper capacitors.
Gibson custom bucker for authentic PAF sounds
As the pickup for the Gibson 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue VOS Iced Tea Burst, the Luthier des Gibson Custom Shop Luthier rely on two Gibson Custombucker, which prove to be authentic replicas of the legendary PAF-Humbucker with Alnico III magnets and unwaxed coils. As a result, the guitar amplifier provides a lively Vintage-Sound with velvety basses, vocally singing mids and an airy treble spectrum that skillfully translates both clean and distorted blues, jazz or rock songs. The pickups are also controlled via the classic CTS3-way circuit with separate volume and tone controls for each pickup. Authentic oil paper capacitors furthermore promise particularly smooth cuts in the treble spectrum.
Six Kluson vintage-style tuners with authentic single-line bodies and single-ring wings guarantee precise and stable tuning.

The Gibson 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue VOS Iced Tea Burst is rounded off with high-quality hardware in the authentic Vintage-Style style. The combination of a Gibson No-Wire ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and an aluminum stopbar tailpiece, established by Ted McCarty, is used on the body, guaranteeing optimal intonation and an easy-to-play string action. Behind the historically correct nylon nut, the strings on the headstock are also held by Kluson tuners with authentic single-ring wings.
